Where Rae’s Retreat Began
After nearly 20 years working in healthcare, caring for people and helping them feel supported has always been a huge part of who I am. But I’ve also always had a love for beauty, particularly lashes, and the confidence that can come from taking a little time to do something just for yourself.
That’s where Rae’s Retreat began.
I wanted to create something that combined my caring nature with my love of beauty: a calm, welcoming space where you can switch off from everyday life, relax, and leave feeling like the best version of yourself.
More Than Just a Beauty Appointment
Rae’s Retreat is my home-based beauty salon in Littleover, Derby, specialising in beautiful lash and brow treatments in a relaxed, one-to-one environment.
I know that visiting a busy salon isn’t everyone’s idea of relaxation. At Rae’s Retreat, there’s no rushing from one client to the next and no intimidating salon atmosphere. Your appointment is your time.
Expect relaxing music, a cosy treatment space and the chance to properly switch off while I take care of the rest. Whether you fancy a chat, a laugh, or you’d quite happily close your eyes and have a little nap, you’re always welcome exactly as you are.
My aim is simple: I want you to leave feeling relaxed, looked after and genuinely delighted with your results.
Lashes & Brows, Tailored to You
I offer a growing range of professional lash and brow treatments, including lash extensions, lash lifts and tints, brow laminations, brow waxing and tinting, and lash and brow tinting.
I don’t believe beauty treatments should be one-size-fits-all. We’ll talk about the look you want and choose something that complements you, whether you love a natural, effortless finish or want something with a little more impact.
Taking Care of Your Lashes at Home
Beautiful lashes don’t stop when you leave the salon.
One of the things I became particularly passionate about was lash aftercare and retention. Using the right products and looking after your lashes properly can make such a difference to how they look, feel and last.
That’s why I created the Rae’s Retreat Lash Care Collection: carefully put-together lash aftercare products, boxes and accessories designed to make looking after your lashes at home simple and enjoyable.
From lash cleansing and everyday aftercare to sleep and holiday essentials, the collection includes products chosen with lash lovers in mind, including oil-free skincare, lash shampoo and cleansing accessories, sleep masks, silk pillowcases and specially selected lash-friendly beauty essentials.
I also offer beautifully put-together lash care and gift boxes, with different options depending on your routine, lifestyle and budget.
A Little Retreat, Just for You
Ultimately, Rae’s Retreat is about more than lashes and brows.
Life is busy. We spend so much time looking after everyone and everything else that taking an hour or two for ourselves can end up at the bottom of the list.
I wanted Rae’s Retreat to be somewhere you can come in, get comfortable and have that time back.
